BACP Counsellor and Supervisor with over 10 years’ experience working with abuse, neglect, and relational trauma.

A calm, validating therapeutic space to help clients understand what happened, reduce self-blame, and begin restoring their sense of self.
My Approach
My work is grounded in compassion, psychological safety, and respect for each client’s lived experience. I understand how gaslighting, emotional manipulation, and coercive dynamics can undermine self-trust over time, particularly for empathic or highly sensitive individuals.
I provide a calm, validating therapeutic space to help clients understand what happened, reduce self-blame, and begin restoring their sense of self. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and paced carefully to support nervous system safety and long-term healing.

I specialise in trauma-informed, attachment based therapy, understanding that past and present experiences of abuse and neglect can deeply affect the mind, emotions, and nervous system. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, or more complex mental health challenges, I believe trauma-informed care is crucial in healing and growth.
My approach focuses on recognising and addressing the relational patterns that emerge from these experiences. Together, we’ll identify your current issues and explore how they relate to past situations. By doing so, we can help your mind reframe these experiences, making sense of them in a new light. This process opens the door to emotional healing, allowing you to access feelings that may have been previously out of reach and ultimately supporting healthy integration.
If you’re ready to understand yourself better, resolve unhelpful patterns, and build the skills to process emotions more effectively, I’m here to help guide you through this transformative journey.
Do You Have Any Questions?
FAQs
If you're considering counselling, it's natural to have questions. Below are answers to some of the most common queries about how I work, who I support, and what you can expect from therapy.
How do I know if counselling is right for me?
Counselling may be helpful if you've experienced emotional abuse, manipulation, gaslighting, or controlling relationship dynamics and find yourself struggling with self-doubt, anxiety, difficulty trusting yourself, or feeling disconnected from who you are. You don't need to have all the answers before starting. The first step is simply exploring whether therapy feels like the right fit for you.
What does trauma-informed counselling mean?
Trauma-informed counselling recognises the impact that past experiences can have on your mind, body, emotions, and nervous system. Rather than asking "What's wrong with you?", it asks "What happened to you?". Sessions are paced carefully, with an emphasis on emotional safety, collaboration, and supporting long-term healing without judgement.
Do you only work with survivors of narcissistic abuse?
While I specialise in supporting people recovering from narcissistic and emotionally abusive relationships, I also work with clients affected by relational trauma, attachment wounds, abuse, neglect, anxiety, depression, and the lasting effects of difficult life experiences. My approach is tailored to each individual's unique circumstances.
What happens during the free consultation?
The free 20-minute consultation is an opportunity for us to meet, discuss what has brought you to therapy, and explore whether we're a good fit to work together. It's also a chance for you to ask any questions you may have before deciding whether to book ongoing sessions.
Are sessions online?
Yes. All counselling and supervision sessions take place online via Zoom, allowing you to access support from the comfort and privacy of your own space.
What can I expect to gain from counselling?
Everyone's journey is different, but therapy often helps clients make sense of their experiences, rebuild trust in themselves, strengthen healthy boundaries, reduce self-blame, reconnect with their identity and values, and develop greater emotional resilience. The aim is to support lasting healing at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.
